I've been using midi (and mod files and anything else) for years in my capacity as a professional soundtrack composer (film, TV, games etc).
At the moment I'm using a Mac with 40 meg of ram 5 gigs of hard drive space and optical drive, pro tools, 32meg sample cell and various other goodies. A lot of modules & effects in a couple of floor to ceiling racks, and my trusty Amiga. Oh and a PC as well just in case! I am using or have used just about every piece of music software on either the Mac or the Amiga, so if any one needs any help, or any music of sound effects composing, drop me a line.
