Experience
Chief engineer at a project studio in South Louisiana. Acquired Cakewalk professional at version 2 for Windows (about five years ago). Synced multitrack and PC (cakewalk). Used this setup for six or seven albums, quite a lot of cassette singles, and jingles.   Now using, on the live gig, Cakewalk 3 (preferred by me over the latest version) a Compaq laptop, Roland JV-1080, Digitech Studio Vocalist, Alesis D4, and an inexpensive Yamaha digital effector. All this stuff is midi'd. I'm a guitarist so it gets tough to write sequences on a keyboard. In fact some guitar type songs are almost impossible to emulate with a keyboard. And right now I can't quite afford a quality midi-controller for guitar. I'd really like to find someone with similar equipment (especially the Roland 1080 and Cakewalk) to.
Hardware
Cakewalk Professional for Windows vs. 3.0 Roland JV-10800D Digitech Studio Vocalist Alesis D4 Yamaha Rev100 Compaq laptop computer (486 SX w/ 4 meg) plenty computer for this application
Software
Cakewalk Professional for Windows version 3 (although I also own the latest version which has gone too far (from a functionality standpoint) to be user friendly
